Due to the current state of affairs surrounding COVID-19, the uncertainties associated with this pandemic at present, and shutdowns across our country that has impeded vital preparatory work, the National Rifle Association has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 NRA Smallbore Championships.
We are trying to make the best of the current situation by moving forward with range construction and other improvements as we look towards the 2021 NRA National Championships season. The NRA is also exploring the feasibility of hosting a variety of new NRA events at Camp Atterbury (if conditions are favorable) with the state of Indiana later this year.
We share your disappointment that we had to cancel these competitions. The NRA wishes everyone good health and the best of luck. Stay safe and healthy.
The Championships are limited to 400 competitors per Championship (Metric 3-P, Conventional 3-P, Metric Prone and Conventional Prone). Competitors MUST have a current NRA Classification Card. After registration and payment of entry fee; a confirmation email will be sent confirming registration. Squadding will be done on site.
The brand-new smallbore range on the base of Camp Atterbury will boast 200 covered firing points on an asphalt firing line. The Statistical Office will be yards away from the firing line as will the target viewing area.
The Competitive Shooting Division of the NRA offers a wide range of activities in all types of shooting, sanctions over 11,000 shooting tournaments and sponsors over 50 national championships each year.
